The farmers’ agitation against the new Central farm laws is entering the 17th week. On the occasion of completion of 4 months of farmers’ protest at Delhi borders, Samyukta Kisan Morcha has called on Bharat bandh on March 26. March 26 marks the completion of 4 months of the protest at the Delhi borders, which started on November 26.

The union has planned several protests over the times, which incorporates the burning of anti-farmer laws during ‘Holika Dehan’.

Protesting farmers say that the new farm laws would dismantle the MSP system, leaving them at the ‘mercy’ of massive corporations. However, the govt has maintained that the new laws will bring better opportunities to farmers and introduce new technologies in agriculture.
