Ghaziabad: a gaggle of farmers from Bhartiya Kisan Union (BKU) staged a protest against MP Mahesh Sharma at Kailash Hospital in Sector 27 in Noida. They alleged there’s no availability of medical resources within the district.
Around 10.30 am, the farmers gathered outside the hospital and demanded to satisfy the MP. Police asked them to return to their houses because the hospital is one among the Covid-19 facilities. After several requests, Mahesh Sharma got able to meet the farmers than a delegation of 11 farmers, including Pawan Katana, a senior leader of BKU Tikait, met the MP. Pawan Katana said that the general public is facing issues including shortage of medicines, life-saving medicines, and beds in hospitals.
“We have discussed with Sharma about the shortage of medicines, oxygen, and beds. He has assured us that he continuously lectures senior leaders within the government and that they are arranging the required resources,” he told .
MP Mahesh Sharma said that he had already had a talk with senior cops of the district regarding the black marketing of Covid medicines and oxygen.
“Police are conducting raids on a day to day and if anyone involves know of such incident then inform the police or me and action are going to be taken,” he added.
